Radio Demos

You often hear people ask what you should put on a radio demo....I had my own ideas and never really listened to good advice when I got it
..

I'll put up my old demos here so you can see what not to do!!

Voice Demos - Energy 94 Demo
I think the perceived wisdom is generally that a Demo should be no longer than 3-4 minutes and have very few links.....so I made an 11 track demo which ran for an incredible 16 minutes and 7 seconds....Yes yes....mad skills I tells ya.....and here it is!!

Voice Demos - Energy 94 Chart Show Demo
In my defence, I did learn as I went along! Here's another slightly later demo from Energy 94fm. This time I managed to Restrict myself to only 6 trackts and a total demo time of a whistle-stop 4.55, which was impressive for me!! This demo was links from the Sunday Chart Show a day I filled in for Andrew Walshe

Production Demo - Beat 102-103
A few years ago I decided I was going to leave Ireland and try and get a job in England working in radio. I sent an email out to loads of programme directors over there, one of whom was Kieran McGeary, then PD of "The Wolf" - He contacted me and said he had no jobs in the Wolf, but that he would shortly be in charge of a station in Ireland (Beat) and so I did up a Demo for him. I asked a production guy, Zack Powers if he would mind doing up a few lines for me, explained the situation and he very kindly did the lines for me for free. Go use him he has a savage voice!!(www.zackpowers.com) - Anyway, this is the production demo I produced for my Beat 102103 demo
